Have you ever wondered what the U.S. Constitution would be like or how different it would be if, instead of being written by white, male, property-owning elite who represented less than 10% of the population, it were written by a broad cross-section of U.S. resident? Have you ever wondered what the U.S. Constitution would be like or how different it would be if it were written today instead of in 1787?

Yesterday, on July 4th, 2026, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, we launched our 6-month campaign to fund the Constitutional Convention 2027. Starting in January 2027, we will be convening a diverse cross-section of the country—20 residents—who will come together to design a new Constitution. They will first do relationship building for 4 months, and then they will engage in Constitutional design for 6 months sharing what they have created with the country and world by the end of the year.

We are raising funding right now to pay participants for their time. Without that funding, the 20 residents would not be diverse because only people who can afford to participate would participate. The funding allows us to pay people for their time, especially those with one job, two jobs, or no job but time they would be using to find a job.

Check out the fundraising page! We’ll be posting updates each week with more information on recruitment and fundraising status. We will also take suggestions and any offers of help. Give any amount you want—$100, $50, $20, $10, $5, $1, even $0.50. No amount is too small. The most important thing is to pass the fundraising page on to as many people as you know. Thanks for your support!
