SERVICES
We offer a range of services as we work toward a more just society.
Improving Unjust Systems
We engage in participatory systems practice, working with diverse system stakeholders including those at the bottom of a social hierarchy. We conduct systems research and chart a way forward using embodied, relational, spiritual, lived experiential, energetic, intuitive, aesthetic, mainstream, community, and other knowledge.

Education & Facilitation
We conduct educational discovery to uncover educational aspirations, hopes, or needs. We identify if an educational dynamic is related to knowledge, skills, non-cognitive factors, or environment. We also co-design educational experiences to address various situations or help a group reach their vision. We then offer to facilitate or co-facilitate those experiences.

Imaging Just Futures
Together with our community, we envision flourishing futures and outline the strategic pathways necessary to achieve them. We embrace the journey without demanding hope; instead, we focus on a values-driven approach rooted in integrity, respect, love, and a deep connection to our ancestors and future generations.

Intervention Planning
We mix systems approaches with design approaches. We use design to design what an intervention in a system can look like, how it will function. We then test and measure how the system responds to the changes we have designed in the system. We listen, learn, and adapt.

Social Impact Measurement
We analyze, forecast, and measure social impact. We avoid focusing on product or technology metrics focusing, instead, on the ultimate social aims of the work. We use broader understandings of scale including scaling up, out, deep, long, in, across, back, initial conditions, and scree.

Equity-centered Design
Because of the shortcomings of Human-centered Design and because community’s are leading or co-leading our work, we often move away from HCD to society-centered or community-centered design. Most often we go beyond those to life-centered or even planet-centered design.

Speaking & Advocacy
We give talks on aspects of our approach or share case studies. Using a systems approach, we build coalitions who are flexible in where they can act in a system. We then co-build advocacy campaigns to sustainably stewarding systems towards system health.

Technology Design & Development
We conduct co-discovery, co-design, and co-development of software, products, and services. We use an inclusive design approach focusing first on those usually forgotten or marginalized, recognizing that designing for them usually benefits everyone.

Culture Audit & Transformation
It is impossible for groups to enact good in the world without transforming themselves. We help conduct culture audits, make recommendations and help implement the first shifts in culture moving beyond equity to cultures that foster mutual relations of care.
CUSTOM PROJECTS
Sometimes your request doesn’t fit into any of the categories above. That’s okay. If the potential work focuses on bringing different groups together, works toward a community hope or goal, addresses a social problem, creates positive social impact, and leads to greater flourishing for people, we are happy to work on it. Reach out to us to make a request for a customized project.
FINDinG FUNDING
Most of the groups who want to work with us may not have the funding to hire a social impact designer or systems practitioner. We will happily partner with you to find funding. This could mean co-writing a grant proposal, participating in a prize competition, or meeting or presenting to potential investors. Contact us to talk about options to find funding.
